Ruins- Greece

It was a beautiful day in Greece. You had saved up  enough money to go on a one week vacation. You were in your Hotel room...

"Mom, I finally made it to Greece. Are you happy?" You looked at the bright blue sky. You were resting up, but got bored easily. You went outside and began to explore. You WERE going to visit Delphi Theatre, but you heard constant mewing. You followed the noise until you found a strange brown cat. You knew stray cats were really common in Greece, but something about it drew you to it. Once you came close, the cat ran away, but at a slow pace. You looked at it. It turned it's head towards you, as is saying, "Why aren't you following me?" As if in response, you followed it. You and the cat came across some ruins. You picked up the cat, and wandered around, awed by the beautiful ruins.
A man was digging in the area, being surrounded by what seemed like an army of cats. He was really into his job.
"U-um.... excuse me?"  You were hesitant of talking to the young man. He looked up, revealing his good features. He had brown hair, and beautiful emerald green eyes.Even so, he had a lazy expression on his face. "Yes? What do you need?" The cat jumped out of your hands and joined the other cats. Without anything more to say, you were stuttering. "U-um... are you allowed to dig in this area? These ruins are still here. The man gave a slight smile, " I dug up these ruins."
You were shocked and surprised, "B-But you are only using a shovel." "Exactly." He left the shovel on the ground, and lied down on nearby grass. He patted the ground next to him, asking you to sit down next to him. He was REALLY silent. "My name is ____? What about yours?" "My name... is... Greece." "What? As in the country?" You were confused. "I am the country."  Now you were really surprised. But then again, you heard of people being the countries of the world.  There was a long pause of silence, until you heard snoring. "He must be tired from working." You got up and left.
Everyday, you were drawn to the ruins, just to greet the man. Everyday for the week, it was the same routine.Follow the cat to the ruins, talk to Greece, lay down together, and then leave. When it was time to go back to your country, you were really sad about leaving Greece. He let you keep the cat that helped you meet him. He gave you a small hug before boarding the plane. You flew back home.

It was a week after you have left Greece. You were now in your own home. You heard a knock on the door, so you opened it.
"G-greece!" You could not help but cry when you saw the man you loved. He hugged you, "I will never leave your side."
You watched as Greece fell asleep on your bed, when your cat came up to you. You heard a voice, your mothers voice. "I am happy for you,___." You turned around. "Mom?" When you turned around again, your cat was gone.
